HaSha'ar is a unique fellowship program in Jewish Education, which
prepares the most promising men and women to set new standards of
educational practice and become leaders in Jewish education. HaSha'ar
seeks to transform Jewish day school education through the development of
talented, knowledgeable, committed and reflective teachers who are
themselves life-long learners, and who will be role models for their
students and the entire community.

Fellows receive an $18,000 stipend to support an eleven-month course of
integrated studies in Jewish texts and the ideas and practice of education
in the company of stimulating colleagues and exceptional faculty.
Following this year, fellows must commit to teaching for at least two
years in a day school. During this time they receive ongoing support and
professional development from the HaSha'ar faculty.

This partnership of Drisha and Beit Rabban offers the HaSha'ar fellows
contexts of excellence in Jewish learning and education. Fellows benefit
from participating in the learning communities there, and from interacting
with the larger network of scholars and educators at these two visionary
institutions.
